Quality service has been at the heart of Tanis’ entire career. She began her career as a nurse and then became a hospital administrator and medical management executive for major healthcare providers where she was involved with development and review of quality programs related to national accreditation of healthcare providers. Tanis and her husband have been Libertyville residents for over twenty years during which time they have lived in three homes. She knows the area intimately as a community volunteer and as a mother who participated in various school and after-school activities. During the years her husband was with Abbott Laboratories, Tanis and her family relocated four times, so she understands what it means for a family to relocate.
