Morton Grove
Although Morton Grove is only 15 miles north of the Loop, it is a quiet village and considered an ideal family-oriented community.
The population has grown rapidly throughout the years. However, Morton Grove has maintained its reputation for outstanding municipal services.
Schools
Elementary school districts 63, 67, 68, 69 and 70 serve Morton Grove. Students in these districts scored well above the state averages on IGAP math and reading skills tests. High school students attend Niles West High School District 219, and Maine East High School in District 207. The 1998 average composite ACT scores were 22.4 and 23.7, respectively.
Transportation
The Tri-State Tollway (I-294) and Edens Expressway (I-94) are nearby. The drive to the Loop takes between 18 and 35 minutes. O'Hare Airport is a 16-minute drive and Midway is 45 minutes away. Metra trains reach the Loop in 42 minutes by express and 54 minutes locally. Buses take commuters to the Loop and surrounding suburbs.
