The village houses more than 20 industrial parks that contribute to the community through a healthy job market and strong tax base. In addition to Wheeling’s vital industrial sector, the village also attracts fine dining enthusiasts to such restaurants as Le Francais, Bob Chinn’s Crab House and Don Roth’s.

Transportation
Rail commuters catch the train in the nearby communities of Northbrook or Mount Prospect for a 30-minute trip into the city. Nortran provides bus service throughout the area.

Schools
District 21 schools serve Elementary school students. High school students are served by Buffalo Grove and Wheeling High Schools. Both provide an excellent college preparatory curriculum.

Shopping
Wal Mart and Sam’s Wholesale Club are among the shops featured in the 300,000 square feet of retail space that was added in 1992 to broaden Wheeling’s shopping opportunities. Nearly 12 additional retail centers are found throughout the village.
