Forest Glen

Forest Glen

Forest Glen, bounded by Cicero between Foster and Elston avenues, the Milwaukee railroad tracks and Forest Glen Avenue is a sister community of Jefferson Park, although the homes in Forest Glen are a bit more expensive.

Many of the older homes in this area are located on narrow, woodsy streets that dead end at the forest preserves. For many of the residents the local forest preserves make an expansive extra back yard. There are bicycle paths, jogging trails and open spaces for games and other activities.

Transportation
CTA buses run on main streets and several bus lines stop at the Jefferson Park rapid transit station. The CTA’s O’Hare-Congress-Douglas Line trains stop at Jefferson Park; Metra’s Union Pacific trains also stop there. The Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) is a few minutes’ drive from the neighborhood.
